FACT SHEET

Thanks for your interest in working with my company! Below are some facts about our leasing and rental policies and how we operate our twin engine division.

Our current rate is $250 per hour for the Twin Comanche and $275 per hour for the Cessna 310Q which will include fuel and a company pilot. Our company pilots are MEI rated and are fully trained to keep you safe while you operate the aircraft. We are proud that our rates are extremely competitive, but these rates require us to pass on some restrictions. Other options are available but will increase cost. A $50 preflight briefing fee is added for only your first flight with our company. This covers familiarization and a profile review.

-We fly at a training, cruise power setting to conserve fuel.

-We specialize in cross country flying to build flight time efficiently.

-We do not offer any engine out training.

-Regular rest stops (at least 2 to 3 hour legs) are fine and are included but excessive landings require more maintenance which gets passed on at $50 per landing.

-Landing fees are passed on to the client, however, most places in our area don’t have any. Choose wisely or ask our pilot!

-The hourly rate is based on the fuel cost at KIKW. If the client chooses to purchase fuel at a higher rate, the cost difference will be passed on.

-The hourly rate reflects payment in cash. Almost any other form of payment is acceptable however, a 3% surcharge is added. Sorry no checks.

-We fly primarily VFR only, but will occasionally file to get above a layer as long as an acceptable VFR layer exists below it.

-Last minute cancellations create unwanted holes in our schedules and disrupt our pilots’ planned paychecks. For this reason, we collect a $500 deposit to place you on the schedule. If due to mutually agreed-upon inclement weather or mechanical issues you need to reschedule, the deposit will be credited to that new reservation. To date we have never kept a deposit, however, we have never seen a client initiated cancellation since invoking this policy. We are fair and expect the same. The deposit is used last when billing.

-For our clients from out of town, you can take the airlines to KFNT and fly from there, or KDTW and Uber to KYIP. We offer free pick up from KYIP in most cases. If you are flying in via GA, we will decide the most appropriate airport to suit our needs.

-We have a preferred hotel list upon request and are working on reduced rates for our clients. Expect to pay about $85-$125 per night. We will happily take care of your transportation to and from the hotels/airports we use. All of our hotels have adequate food options to cover a wide range of tastes.

-Since you are multiengine rated, we provide an adequate profile to learn, and will guide you safely throughout your flight. We do not allow excessively rough or misaligned touchdowns, so expect the company pilot to take over if necessary.

-We do not allow carbonated beverages, especially cola, as it is corrosive to the air frame if spilled. Food, snacks, coffee, in a non-spillable container is fine.

-Our heaters are tremendous, so you can expect to be comfortable in a short sleeved shirt once airborne.

-We will always collaborate with you just prior to your arrival to check on weather and aircraft condition. Of course, any known deficiencies will be communicated to you right away.

-We do occasionally offer leasing in other regions on a case by case basis, especially if Michigan weather is not adequate. Normally a ferry cost is added, as well as lodging costs for our instructor, but it varies by situation.

-If, after reading this sheet and the FAQs, you still have questions, you can call (269) 369–3815 ONLY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9am-9pm Eastern.

The normal progression is for you to review the website, FAQs, and the fact sheet before you call to schedule or ask any remaining questions. Once you’re comfortable, you schedule a date and complete a lease agreement then make a $500 deposit. Five days prior to your scheduled lease we talk about weather and final items. The day before we confirm weather. When you arrive at the aircraft, you will be billed for the flying you are planning to accomplish that day. The deposit is applied after all flying in your lease agreement has been accomplished.

Thank you again for your interest in my company. We look forward to flying with you and helping you accomplish your goals!
